VERSION 4.5: March 17th 2006

   Not a great update, but I added new more contents and more pictures.I must await to the imminent publication of some important novelties that will require many changes in the next update. Changes in Iberian epigraphy are always good news.

*** New page: "DECIPHERING" MERIDIONAL IBERIAN SCRIPT: with practicals exercises on the method to verify the reading of Meridional Iberian signs; with pictures.

*** new page: A PALAEO-HISPANIC ALPHABET: ESPANCA'S STELE: on a very interesting inscription on which a complete Palaeo-Hispanic alphabet akin to Sudlusitanian was drawn: with a picture and an analytical table.

*** four new references added to the ABSTRACTS OF PAPERS BY JESÚS RODRÍGUEZ RAMOS. One of them is avaiable on-line, and so, now there are nine papers whose full content can be accessed on-line. The tenth (2005b) will be avaiable shortly.

*** added a new book reference in the list BOOKS BY JESÚS RODRÍGUEZ RAMOS. You can read its detailed index (in Catalan language).

*** a few additions to the BIBLIOGRAPHY, as usual the novelties in this pages are marked in red color. I added two recent Untermann's papers. Perhaps they are not so important as to belong to a basic bibliography; but it's always interesting to read the latest thoughts of this great researcher.

*** some minor aesthetical and functional changes. I hope it's an improvement.

*** I got some odd displays when using the Firefox Explorer. I've tried to correct the html code in order to fix them.

*** the usual ortographical revision and search for errata (and in English also a grammatical revision; sometimes it is so easy to make awkwards mistakes, but so hard to find them, and some are so implausible when I take account of them).

VERSION 4.0: March 3 2005

*** New Page: THE EVOLUTION OF LEVANTINE IBERIAN SCRIPT: SELECTED INSCRIPTIONS CHRONOLOGICALLY ARRANGED, with graphics and practice inscriptions in original version with subtitles.
*** New Page: BOOKS BY JESÚS RODRÍGUEZ RAMOS.
*** New Page: ETCETERA: OFF TOPIC: for grouping together some pages that I consider should be there, but that I don't want to be mixed together with the scientific part. For now, I use this new page to be grateful for the continued interest by the Instituto Portugués de Arqueologia for making me the main subject of its journal twice a year, even if in the absence of true data to justify such a decission they full pages with fictitious data, distortions, and insinuations, which happen to favour their own interests. Go on, boys! You truely know what science and ethics are! By the way, boys: when will my reply articles be published?
*** Two files until now avaiable in Word format, now are also in Adobe pdf format (they display better, but it looks like the new IExplorer security doesn't love loading pdf files). The paper "Paradigma perdido" is now also avaiable in Adobe.
*** Updated the Bibliography with 11 new references.
*** Two new papers added to the ABSTRACTS OF PAPERS BY JESÚS RODRÍGUEZ RAMOS page.
*** Revised the "Links to Iberian inscription images". Many have been lost, but there are some interesting additions, especially the two "corpora" of images of the Sudlusitanian inscriptions: IREA and A ESCRITA DO SUDOESTE.
*** Minor additions to the pages 8, 9, 14, and to the anthology of Levantine Iberian inscriptions on lead plaques.

VERSION 3.4: january 30 2004

*** Overall revision of the text, some very inappropriated errata found and corrected (but look out for the the proverbial bad penny), updated the bibliography
*** Extended the page "Very short introduction to the Iberian Language"
*** New "Varia" page: "On the origin of the Iberian speaking peoples"
*** Revised the "Links to Iberian inscription images", 3 new, 1 lost; some updated, that is, found again (they move so much that seem alive).
*** Four additions in the "Abstracts of papers by J. Rodríguez Ramos".
*** Updated the page against the clumsy falsehoods and distortions published by the "Revista Portuguesa de Arqueologia", refutation text (you can go directly to its ADDENDUM at the end of the main text), and added two files to it.

VERSION 3.3: july 14 2003

Besides some touching-ups:
*** New sub-section VARIA, with for now only one page "On the hypothesis eban = "SON"
*** Added one new paper in the section "Abstracts of papers by Jesús Rodríguez Ramos"
*** Exceptionally, since surely you have noticed that I am reluctant to include personal questions (no "about me" page, even nothing about my achademic curriculum, easy to discover the main part of it in internet but, as a protest demonstration and as a declaration of principles, I prefer not to mention it), I have felt obliged to add an unpleasant page on personal questions. The thing is that a certain character has launched in three consecutive issues of the review he runs (defrayed with the money of the Portuguese taxpayers) a series of insinuations and false accusations against me. In front of the falsehood and reiteration, that only can be understood as the beginning of a smear campaign, I've considered that it was necessary to put forward an answer, in order that the people could know the truth. I include it out of the main index to annoy as little as possible. I hope you'll understand: refutation text (with some minor changes done at september).
