In English there is a certain difference between a typeset word and a word you write with a pen when taking notes to yourself. Expecting Japanese to be different in this respect would be unreasonable.

![]() | The name plate the character has at his door. this is supposed to be written with a brush. |
![]() | An this is the name of the character in fast handwriting. |


These may look quite different at first. But you get
used to it.
