The TE form of the verb is like the TA/DA form, just change the final "ah" into an "ey".
When alone, it can be used as an imperative:
kaiteWhen followed by another sentence, it means "and":
かいて
write it!
| ||||||||
itte kitaThese expresions are only used when the first action is done first and the second action is done later. They cannot express simultaneous actions as the English "walk and chew gum".
いって きた
I went and came
This te て-form is also part of several idioms. An expression like kaite agelu かいて あげる could theoretically mean "I'll write it and give it to you" in strange circumstances, but in practice it almost always means "I'll write it for you".
V+te kureru = "¿could you please...for me?"
