3) Professional Experience1991-1992 - Technical consultant at the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística, assigned to the offices in the Barcelona districts of Gracia and l’Eixample.
1993 - Work experience correcting texts at Catalunya Ràdio.
1993-1996 - Co-ordinator of localisation projects in the Translation and Publication Department of IBM Spain in Barcelona, with responsibilities including:
Management of localisation projects for IBM products (English-Spanish, English-Catalan), both hardware and software.
Participation in the technical process of translation, correction and editing of publications and software files.
Product Evaluator: evaluation of translations produced and the functionality of the different projects co-ordinated. This work was carried out in IBM’s laboratories in Europe, Japan and the United States.

1996 - Project co-ordinator for Management System Solutions (MSS), Barcelona, a company which specialises in localisation of IBM products. Projects carried out:
Evaluation of some IBM Internet servers for OS/2 and AIX; this continued on from work started as an IBM technical consultant. This included a two-month stay in Raleigh (North Carolina, USA) to evaluate products.
Management of the translation of the OS/2 Warp 4.0 operative system into Catalan, including a one-month stay in Austin (Texas, USA) to evaluate the product.
1997-1999 - Project leader at INK Catalunya, a company which operates in localisation and translation projects. Management of localisation projects for IT products (Ericsson, SuperOffice) and pharmaceutical products (Sanofi, Pharmacia & UpJohn, Gelos, Vita) with TRADOS programs (Translator’s Workbench, Multiterm).
1999-2000 - Project Leader for the localisation department of Crisan, a data-processing company, working mainly in the localisation of IBM products. This work was combined with various collaborative projects with other companies in the localisation sector (INK Sverige, Logoscript, Caleidos).
2000-2001 - Collaboration in quality control projects for Sail-Labs, a company which develops automatic translation software. Creation and implementation of a project to improve the quality of translation(TQE).
2002 - Teacher on the ‘Technical Translation Projects Management’ course for the company SIC. The course runs for 32 hours and is aimed at project leaders and managers in translation and linguistic services companies.
1999- actualitat - Freelance professional working on localisation projects, collaborating with various European companies. Specialisation in training, quality control and testing projects.
